The Belgian Gaming Commission has developed a series of responsible advertising guidelines with Jupiler Pro League, the country's highest football league. New measures include a ban on partnerships between the league's clubs with gambling operators that are not licensed by the commission to operate in Belgium. Petition Ban all gambling advertising on TV Problem gambling cost this country up to 1.2 billion pounds per year according to official figures. It is also linked to mental health and homelessness. Along with smoking gambling adverts do not belong on the television. The rules of gambling in the UK are about to be reviewed, so adding your voice to this petition is really important. We need to make as much noise as possible and show the UK Government that we want to end the harmful amount of gambling adverts and sponsorship in football.
Gambling has destroyed many lives and continues to do so for those who are unable access help. Gambling is an addiction that never goes away and the Government should indentify the risks of someone getting in to gambling and stop the advertising on TV and the internet. I really dont understand why we are being encouraged to try gambling cause once you place that first bet it will destroy your life That first £10 bet will soon become more and before you know it you will have wagered thousands of pounds and lost. In this day especially people are desperate to 'earn' extra money in our recession and the adverts glamourise the fact that you could win big and encourage people to play. STOP advertising on ebay, TV and other public places. If people want to gamble they will, but dont encourage it as the country will be in a worse state then it is now and families will be destoyed. Gamblers Anonymous do a fantastic job with those who plead for help to stop their addiction a totally free service that has helped many. I wonder if the government think about the gambler in therapy when they allow advertisements on TV or sponsor TV programs like Jeremy Kyle? Like a cig to a smoker who has given up and like a drink to the alcoholic who is recovering.

Betting adverts during live sporting events are set to become largely a thing of the past with the industry poised to approve a voluntary ban.
Britain's biggest gambling companies, including William Hill, Betfred and Paddy Power, have prospectively agreed to stop advertising on a 'whistle-to-whistle' basis.
It would mean any live broadcast which begins before the watershed will not contain betting adverts.
The move comes amid fears advertising during live sport is fuelling an explosion in underage gambling addicts.
The proposals, which have been put forward by the Remote Gambling Association, are yet to be fully agreed.
Sources at two of the betting companies concerned told Sky News they were having legal meetings about the prospective changes on Thursday.
It is expected they will be rubber stamped next week following a meeting of the five major gambling industry associations.
